There are many different ways of using British wool to make a cushion - knitting, felting, crochet, weaving, sewing wool fabric, embroidery on wool, and tapestry being the main crafts involved.
This versatility in wool means that anyone who wants to contribute towards making a cushion can do so and many people are learning new craft skills in the process.
Each cushion has a label with a personal message from the maker to the recipient. Some of the people who included contact details on their label have had a message of personal thanks from the athlete who received their cushion. Some of these can be seen here
